Sampa is a top tier BJJ academy. The inside is huge with plenty of room, the staff is always friendly and informative, the students have a reciprocating desire to learn and get better, and the instructors are passionate and patient to teach and excited to see you succeed. Hands down the best choice I ever made for my son. He’s learned discipline, has more confidence, and can defend himself.
Clean facility, amazing staff, and Prof. Renato is very involved with his students.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Great Child Environment

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Great Child Environment

It is very important for children to grow up in a healthy environment in order for them to be good and productive citizens. The surroundings in which children grow, influences their thought process and their actions. Children who grow up with a sense of discipline and responsibility contribute more to the society then children who grow up without a goal or a purpose lacking discipline and control.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one such martial art form that benefits children in a number of ways and has a positive influence on children’s mental and physical abilities. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art form that is very much similar to karate, kun-fu or kick-boxing albeit small differences. While karate, kun-fu, lick-boxing and other martial art forms are a combination of kick and punch techniques, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu relies more on ground techniques with a combination of grappling and clasping methods that help to overcome/defeat the enemy.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be used by children to fight opponents who larger and stronger than them. It leverages on using a person’s size with a combination of body maneuvers to over power the enemy without causing them any physical pain, harm or injury. Children who encounter bullying at school or outside the home may use this art form to protect themselves.

Children also derive health benefits by being a part of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training. The training involves a lot of exercises that will make children flexible, stronger and improve their body’s endurance levels. Each and every session of Jiu Jitsu is a combination of stretching exercises, breathing exercises, cardiovascular fitness techniques and resistance exercises. Though the sessions sap children completely of their energy, the health benefits that they provide are worth the physical exhaustion.

Jiu Jitsu also helps children in establishing long term relationships with other fellow students. The art form moulds the child’s brain in such a way that the child becomes more open, friendly and develops far better social skills than children who do not practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It also inculcates a sportive mindset among children and teaches them to respect others students and elders.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu moulds trains children to set goals and work towards achieving them. It instills a sense of discipline among kids and children. Practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu requires a lot of discipline and dedication. This discipline learnt as a part of the training is transferred to personal life and thus helps children to become more self-disciplined.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu also affects the food habits of children. It encourages children to opt for a balanced and healthy diet instead of eating junk food that adds to body fat and creates problems related to obesity. In fact, the rigorous exercise regimen of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu helps in burning calories and thus prevents problems related to weight gain and obesity.

The techniques of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu also help children develop self-control. Practicing Jiu Jitsu moves involves a lot of restraint and control on the part of children. By learning self-control children can restrict themselves from getting into bad habits.

The advantages and benefits provided by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu have made the art form more appealing and interesting to children and adults alike and a number of people are enrolling themselves to get trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
