The inside is huge with plenty of room, the staff is always friendly and informative, the students have a reciprocating desire to learn and get better, and the instructors are passionate and patient to teach and excited to see you succeed. Hands down the best choice I ever made for my son. He’s learned discipline, has more confidence, and can defend himself.
Clean facility, amazing staff, and Prof. Renato is very involved with his students.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Child Security

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Child Security

For parents, raising kids the right way is always a priority. Parents take a lot of care to ensure that their children get the best in life – be it education, sports or recreation. Similarly, parents also consider the security of their children to be equally important, in addition to the great lifestyle that they provide. Since parents cannot be watching their child round the clock, it is imperative that children develop certain self-defense skills that would enable them to keep safe during incidents of attack or bullying.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one such martial art form that teaches children certain self-defense techniques that will enable them to fight off enemies who are stronger and powerful than they are. Frankly speaking, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a non-violent technique of self-combat that silences the opponents without causing them any physical harm, pain or injury. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art form that is very much similar to karate, kun-fu or kick-boxing albeit small differences. While karate, kun-fu, lick-boxing and other martial art forms are a combination of kick and punch techniques, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu relies more on ground techniques with a combination of grappling and clasping methods that help to overcome/defeat the enemy.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a tweaked and toned down version of the Japanese jujutsu. Even before Jiu Jitsu travelled to Japan, it had its origin in India. Buddhist monks practiced this art form, in ancient days, to protect themselves from enemies. Since they were people who followed the path of non-violence, this technique helped them to stave off enemies without causing them physical injuries or ache.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, apart from teaching children the techniques of self-combat, also prepares them physically and mentally to face life by inculcating in them certain personal traits that will benefit children all through their personal lives. Self-disciple and self-control are inculcated in children who train for Jiu Jitsu. Since the training requires a great deal of dedication and determination, children who participate in training sessions will develop discipline that would help them attend sessions regularly and continue learning the art form. Also, the Jiu Jitsu moves practiced, inculcate in children, the qualities of self-control and resistance.

Children also derive health benefits by being a part of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training. The training involves a lot of exercises that will make children flexible, stronger and improve their body’s endurance levels. Each and every session of Jiu Jitsu is a combination of stretching exercises, breathing exercises, cardiovascular fitness techniques and resistance exercises. Though the sessions sap children completely of their energy, the health benefits that they provide are worth the physical exhaustion.
