Grace Allende of Sampa Fitness
My name is Grace Allende. I joined the Sampa family in 2015. I’m coaching adult cardio-kickboxing and fitness classes. I am also a project manager at a real estate development company, but my passion has always been fitness. When I was a teenager, I started practicing martial arts. I competed in local tournaments around Los Angeles and earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Martial Arts taught me discipline- I used to practice 5 days a week (sometimes 2 classes a day).
For the past 20 years, this has been my workout routine. In my 20s, I started running, weight training, and kickboxing. In my 40s, I was introduced to the world of triathlons, and this month, I will complete my 3rd triathlon. My love and interest for fitness is endless. Since joining Sampa, I’ve changed my fitness training style, to incorporate the Training For Warriors and FitRanx systems, and I love the results I’ve achieved. I believe in these training systems so much that I have become certified in both. The classes I teach focus on improving your metabolic (aerobic) capacity, in order to lose weight. You also build strength with our body weight exercises.
I really enjoy helping our students achieve their fitness goals, and I love to participate in our group activities, like mud runs and running workouts. I am proud to be part of the Sampa Family because it promotes a positive and friendly atmosphere, while keeping our classes interesting, progressive and challenging.
